Mt. Fuji & Hakone 1 Day Return Tour 2012

Our No. 1 most popular one-day tour! Leaving from Tokyo, this tour takes you up to Mt. Fuji's fifth station to enjoy the view from 2,300 m above sea level. After this, participants will take in Hakone’s beautiful natural scenery with a pleasure boat cruise around Lake Ashino and a ride on the Komagatake Ropeway. The return trip to Tokyo will be by bullet train. A pick up service from Tokyo's major hotels and a Japanese-style lunch are included.

9:00 a.m.
Depart Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal for Mt. Fuji by motorcoach (120 mins.).

Fuji Visitor Center
Stop off at the Fuji Visitor Center for Mt. Fuji-related information and exhibits (20 mins.).

Mt. Fuji 5th Station
Drive up to the 5th station on Mt. Fuji itself and enjoy the view from 2,300 meters above sea level (30 mins.).

Lunch
Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch (vegetarian meal available; please indicate number of vegetarians in group at booking).

Lake Ashi
Take a cruise on Lake Ashi aboard a large sightseeing boat (15 mins.).

Mt. Komagatake Ropeway
Ride an aerial cableway up and down Mt. Komagatake for a sweeping view of beautiful Hakone National Park (50 mins.).

Return to Tokyo
Return to Tokyo by motorcoach (120 mins.).

6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Tour disbands upon arrival in Ginza (Tokyo).

 

Remarks

  • Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway skipped due to traffic conditions without alternative on the following days: May 1, 2, 6; July 16, 21, 22, 28, 29; Aug. 4, 5, 16-19, 25, 26; Sep. 1, 8, 17, 30; Oct. 8, 13, 20, 27, 28; Nov. 3, 10, 17; Dec. 30. (For remaining departures in 2011: Nov. 5, 12, 19; Dec. 30.)
  • When Fuji Visitor Center is closed or the tour is behind the schedule due to traffic, Fuji Visitor Center may be skipped.
  • When the road to Mt.Fuji's 5th station is closed due to heavy snow or the tour is behind schedule due to traffic, the tour will be taken as high as possible.
  • We recommend you to bring an overcoat or other warm clothing during spring, autumn, and winter.
  • The tour will not becancelled or refunded if you are unable to see Mt. Fuji due to the weather conditions.
  • Komagatake Ropeway or cruise on Lake Ashi may be omitted or substituted depending on traffic, weather conditions, or other operational concerns. If either or both are omitted the following alternatives may be used: Narukawa Art Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, pirate boat on Lake Ashi, Hakone En Aquarium, Hakone Shrine, Hakone Ropeway (Owakudani Valley), or Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway. Your tour guide will finalize alternatives based on careful consideration of tour logistics and other conditions.
  • The tour guide may not accompany you back to Tokyo after Odawara Station. In this case, the guide will tell you how to get back to your hotel from Tokyo Station (return by Shinkansen plan) or Shinjuku/Ginza (return by motorcoach plan).
