    Sakura Blossom Map

I understand that the Sakura Cherry Blossom flowers at different times in Japan due to the North South latitude. Can you tell me what sort of dates each area of Japan is likely to see Sakura?

    Check the map below!

Sakura Cherry Blossom is usually in flower from the end of March to the beginning of April and lasts for approximately one week. However, the northern parts of Japan like Hokkaido does not see the Sakura until as late as the beginning of May! The map below gives an indication of when you can expect to see Sakura Cherry Blossom over all of Japan. Please bear in mind that these dates are approximations and yearly temperatures are likely to have an effect on the actual dates. Click on the image for a larger version!
