Student accommodation in Japan
What is the cheapest accommodation for a student travelling to Japan? Do I need a special card (eg: The International Student Identity Card)?
ISIC only for flights
The International Student Identitiy Card is a great card to pick up if you a student as it can offer you some good savings on your flights to Japan which are only available to youths and students.
Unfortunately, there are no hotels that will offer you a discount with an ISIC card.

Try hostels for short term stay
If you are only travelling to Japan for a short trip, you will find plenty of hostels and dormitories where you can sleep for the night at a great price.
Long term student accommodation?
If you are heading to Japan as a student to study and are in need of long term accommodation, Accommodation for Students allows you to search for places to stay on their website. Types of accommodation range from student housing and halls of residence to student flats or houses.
