Average yearly temperatures in Japan
Hi, I am going to Japan and was wondering what the average temperatures might be like so I can plan my trip accordingly?
Dependant on area
Japan has four quite distinct seasons, where the weather can range from hot and sticky in the summer months to freezing in the winter. As Japan’s land mass is located north to south, the northern island Hokkaido has snow for at least half of the year, where as in Okinawa in the south, it is it rarely, if ever snows.

Altitude makes a difference too!
Because Japan is such a mountainous country, anywhere with a high altitude will be a lot cooler than some of the cities closer to sea level.
