    Narita to Kyoto train schedule

I will be landing at Narita Airport and want to go to Kyoto by train, how long would this take me? What time would I arrive in Kyoto and what is the best route to get there?

    The Narita Express

Firstly, you need to get on the Narita Express which will take you from Narita Airport to the centre of Tokyo. This takes 53 minutes with trains running every hour and every 30 minutes at peak times during the day.

Tokyo to Kyoto in under 3 hours!

Once arriving at Tokyo station you can get the Shinkansen Bullet Train directly to Kyoto. This takes approximately two hours and 40 minutes with trains departing regularly.

From landing at Narita to arriving in Kyoto…

If we assume that it takes about one hour 20 minutes to land and go through airport customs and one hour for the Narita Express, with a 2 hour 40 minute journey to Kyoto, it might take aproximately five hours to complete your trip to Kyoto from landing.
